10,000ft. of gain and a view to remember.

This is the first overnight backpacking trip. Of course, it had to be one of the hardest hikes in the country. The distance was not so bad. But the gain per mile, the heat and the lack of water source made for one heavy pack.

Crazy elevation gain created 40 degree temperature swing from the bottom and the top.
